Trafford juniors headed to Dorney Lake for a challenging day of racing in very windy conditions. Crews showed resilience, adaptability, and strong racing throughout the day, coping well with difficult water and changing conditions.

Leo and Jai delivered a thrilling performance in the Op J14 2x, taking gold in the A Final after moving into the lead just a few strokes before the finish line. Their ability to stay composed and commit to their race plan under pressure was a highlight of the day. Great work boys!🥇

Tabby and Martha produced an excellent race in the W J15 2x, moving from fifth place at the halfway point into second by the finish to secure silver in the A Final. Their strong finish demonstrated incredible grit and determination. Well done girls!🥈

Florence and Gloria raced hard in the W J17 2x, finishing sixth in the A Final battling through the challenging conditions. Other notable performances included Ellen, who raced well in the W J15 1x to finish third in the B Final and Matthew who placed twelfth in the Op J17 1x time trial, qualifying for the B Final, which was unfortunately cancelled due to worsening weather conditions.

Overall, it was a strong day of racing for Trafford juniors, showing clear progress and determination despite demanding conditions. Thank you to the Scullery for an excellent day of racing 💙
