Up to the Challenge: Trafford Rowing Club took on The Bridgewater Canal

Over 25th and 26th July 2022 rowers from TRC aged between 14 and 66 rowed the entire length of the 65km (39 mile) Bridgewater Canal. The club members are believed to be the first people to ever scull the entire length of The Bridgewater Canal which stretches from Runcorn to Leigh.

With a target of raising £1000, the club was absolutely delighted to raise a total of £3745. (See the Go Fund me page here).

 

The money raised has been split 50:50 with half for club funds and the other 50% being donated to various charities selected by participants including The Alzheimer’s Society and The Christie.
