History
Trafford Rowing Club has been rowing on the Bridgewater canal since 1957.

Trafford Rowing Club arose from the ashes, literally, of Metrovic Rowing Club whose clubhouse at Dane Road was destroyed by a fire. Trafford Council offered the club a new home at Walton Road Sports Centre. In the early days the club only had four boats and had ceased to race competitively.
Through the dedication of a steady succession of amazing people Trafford Rowing Club has grown to 180+ members from the ages of 11 to 80.
