Trafford sent two crews to making their debut on the Henley course at Henley Women’s Regatta, gaining valuable experience racing on one of the most prestigious stretches of water in the country. With slightly choppier water than the crews are used to, they handled the conditions and pressure very well and setting a solid starting point for Trafford at this level. 🖤💚

Florence (J17) and Gloria (J16) competed for The Rayner Cup in the Junior 2x. With both girls competing an age up, they produced a strong performance and narrowly missing qualification by just four seconds. It was an excellent first outing on the course and a promising sign of their development at this level. Hoping to see this crew competing again in 2026!

The women’s development 4+ of Rowan, Kate, Ellen, Olivia, and cox Catherine raced in The Frank V Harry Cup as crew 305. Racing with composure and executing a solid race plan, they placed 34th in the time trial, unforntuantely missing out on the heats. For a crew new to the Henley course, this was a great first experience and I'm sure we'll see them again next year. Great effort ladies!

Overall, it was a valuable debut for both crews, with athletes showing commitment and clear potential as they continue to gain experience on major racing stages. With clear sights on HWR 2026, both crews are motivated to build their training and racing experience further with sights on qualification. Thank you to the Henley Women's Regatta committee for a great experience and lovely day of racing đź©·
