Agecroft Head 2025

On 11 October Trafford raced at Agecroft Head across the 3.2km course with 24 crews competing across juniors, men’s, and women’s squads, making it a busy outing for the club early in the head race season.

Conditions on the day were dry, with a slight chop on the water creating a different challenge to what Trafford crews are used to at home. Our rowers adapted well, producing a series of solid and committed performances across the course. The event provided valuable race practice and an important opportunity to test early season form in competitive racing. Trafford crews brought back 5 wins across the board, with many other strong placing including over half the crews entered placing second in their category. A highlight amongst the winners of this race was Leo's performance in the Op J14 1x who placed over 90 seconds between himself and second place 🥇 🥇 Op J16 1x (band 2) 🥇 W J16 2x (band 1)

Overall, Agecroft Head was a great outing for Trafford, with crews gaining experience, learning to handle varied water conditions, and setting a strong foundation for the rest of the head race season. Thank you to Agecroft Rowing Club for hosting ❤️💙🤍
